Tuesday Night Watercolor Workshop SPECTACULAR!

Tuesday night was an EPIC Watercolor Workshop in the Glimmerbug Handmade Art Studio here in Harvard, MA! We had the BEST time!

Participants eagerly gathered around their workstations, brushes and palettes ready, as they began painting their own Halloween-themed watercolor villages. Each building burst with vibrant hues—fiery oranges, spooky purples, midnight blues, and eerie greens—layered with whimsical doodles that gave life to chimneys, doors, and rooftops. The air was filled with excitement as creativity flowed freely, transforming blank paper into charming, haunted neighborhoods glowing with imagination.

Once the paintings had dried, the real magic began. With careful hands and joyful giggles, participants cut out windows and doors from their watercolor houses, creating little portals that revealed mischievous characters hiding just beyond. Tiny ghosts peeked playfully from attic windows, witches waved from behind slightly ajar doors, bats fluttered between rooftops, and black cats perched mysteriously in shadowed corners. Each opening told its own spooky story, enhanced by the colorful, hand-drawn details that surrounded them.

Laughter bubbled up throughout the studio as friends shared their creations, swapped stories about their characters, and added finishing touches with doodles and splashes of paint. The warm, supportive atmosphere made the workshop not only a burst of color and creativity but also a memorable gathering full of joy and artistic connection. It was a truly special day where Halloween whimsy met the charm of handmade art in every brushstroke and cutout.
