Happy Spring!

I am SO EXCITED that it’s finally Spring! I’m chomping at the bit to get my flowers, but the fear of frost has not yet passed so I need to be a little more patient. The tulip bulbs are starting to sprout, as are the daffodils, so I’m anxiously awaiting those pops of color. And the warmer weather.

Last week I got my seeds started in one of those indoor little kits and they are looking pretty good so far. Here’s to hoping that at least some of them turn into flowers. I never have high hopes because of all the wildlife we have in these parts. Bunnies… deer… this is why we can’t have nice things. But alas, I hold out hope that they don’t eat ALL my little garden goodies.

So much on the “to do” list this Spring, it’s making my head spin! Lots of branch cleanup and trimming back all the blueberries and blackberries. Thankfully I’ve got some help from my teens, even if it is begrudgingly. Nah, they’re actually really good about it and don’t bitch too much, so that’s nice. I think they have a sense of guilt if they see me out there wrestling with the growth and out of guilt, join in to help me. Mom guilt goes both ways!

Fingers crossed the weather warms up soon! I can’t wait!
