It's always difficult to get back into routine after being on vacation for a couple of weeks. Nobody wanted to get up this morning! Back to work, starting day camp and doing errands were on our plates today and, let's face it, NOBODY was feeling it!
Now that all our errands are done and everyone is home for the day (except for poor daddy), the kids are busy playing and I had a few minutes to play around with my watercolors. It's one of those fun art practices to do when you don't really have a huge amount of time to get into a larger project. So I cut up some watercolor paper and noodled around with my paints for a little bit.
The result were some pretty colorful doodly looking bits that I can use for swaps or in happy mail! I love how freeing it is to create just for the sake of creating... with no end purpose in mind! In fact, I'm inspired to make a mini watercolor journal devoted to just this practice of being on the "non-plan plan." Yeah, I like that! That's going on my list of things to do!
Anyhow, here's my little mini watercolors that just sort of showed up on my desk after about 30 minutes. Definitely gave me my inspiration to do more!
Have a wonderfully creative week!
