With all the hustle and bustle getting ready for Thanksgiving, I lagged behind on a few of my mixed media mail art projects for swaps that I'm participating in. Typically, I get my swap art pieces done within a reasonable amount of time. But this past couple of weeks, they've been sitting on my desk patiently awaiting me to add something to them. Finally, today I finished up these projects so that they'll be headed off into the mailbox tomorrow!
The projects that I've worked on today are a pocket journal, a color-themed zine, an add and pass postcard and an ornament for a holiday swap. Luckily, the ornament made it into the mail before the mailman arrived!
The rest of these pieces will be headed off to new places tomorrow! So keep your eyes on the lookout, ladies! They're coming your way!
Art Pocket Journal
Add and Pass Postcard
This postcard arrived with so many beautiful shades of green! So I added a deli paper hand drawn flower and a few little accents of embossed leaves.
Handmade Ornament Swap
It's no secret that I love owls. I recently signed up for an ornament swap and decided that I'd make an ornament out of some owl images I had cut out from magazines. Adding the German Glitter Glass really gave it such a beautiful sparkle!
In my Facebook art group, we are sending around "zines" to each other. Each participating artist needs to create a page or a spread based on the theme of that journal. This journal asked that we create each page based on a pre-determined color combination. So I chose the green and blue page, added a few little extra touches, like glitter and a snowflake. I love how it came out!
