Bash Your Stash: Stash Busting Using My Box of Scrap Papers for Mixed Media Scrap Monsters
I've been busy lately catching up on some art swaps that I was behind in since I was getting ready for an art show in my town over the weekend. Now that it's behind me (and I actually didn't end up participating because the show coordinators double booked the booth space, so I bailed) I've got a few things to share, starting with these fun little scrap monsters!
What a fun project this was to work on. I'd never done anything like this before and now I'm hooked! We've all got a bunch of extra pieces of papers and whatnot that we can't part with but is too small to do anything with. So one of my artsy friends hosted a swap recently where we all had to create monsters out of scrap pieces from our stash. At first I was a little weirded out because I often don't think I have the imagination for such an endeavor. But then I bit the bullet and dove right in.
Check them out!
I adore how these came out and I can't wait to do more. I'm even thinking this would be a fun project for the kids to do over summer vacation! They love working on projects like this and it would certainly help cut down on my box of scraps if they invaded it to create some new monsters!
These little friends will be sent off to their new art homes by the end of the week. I can't wait to see the ones that arrive in my mail!
Have a great day!
