ATCoins for Our 52 Week Swap
My art swap groups are the greatest. I just absolutely love creating and swapping stuff with all my artsy friends! This year, we're all swapping ATCoins following a different theme each week. So far coins have featured postage stamp, quotes, hearts, newsprint, trees, hands and many others.
This past week, I've spent time up in my art studio working to make some of these coins ahead of time (I sometimes lose track of time and then forget to do things so I wanted to make sure I got these done and ready to send!)
If you're an artist, you probably have a box (or boxes) of scrap paper pieces. Pieces that are too pretty to throw away, but too small to make anything major out of. I've got a scrap box that is full of little bits and pieces that I couldn't quite figure out what to do with... until now!
This box is pretty full of fabulousness, so I made a pact to myself that I'd work my way through and make a dent in this scrap box to use up what I had in my stash. My 10 year old daughter is helping me too and we're calling it "Bust the Box."
Here's a sampling of some of the ATCoins I've created for our 52 Week swap using a bunch of scraps from my scrap box. I'm even using up some of the papers to make little envelopes to put these ATCoins in before I send them out! It's very rewarding to watch this scrap box start to dwindle down and knowing that I used the contents to make some really fun little artsy pieces.
Well, I'm off to make some more ATCoins and envelopes. I'll share more when I've got more done!
Have a great day!
