PenPal Book Project

Posted on May 1, 2014 by Jill

The past few days have been a complete whirlwind! Sick kids, busy work schedule, big deadlines… when it rains it pours, I guess. It’s all good… yet I haven’t had much time to spend “arting”, which has been a bit of a bummer.

My group of online artist friends from The Studio are participating a swap this week and it looked like a lot of fun, and something that I could work on in the minutes that I had in between kids puking and work demands. Perfect!

This swap, an accordion mini pocket book created with all materials that I had already in the studio was super fun, creative and something I’ve never actually tried before. And talk about easy! I love projects that have immediate gratification!

Check out what I created with scraps of paper, rubber stamps, acrylic paints, recycled security envelopes and pieces of cardboard.

Thank you April Cole, for such a fun and creative project. I can’t wait to do more of these!
